asprin

Question
is it ok to give a 13 year old shepard one low dose asprin or 200 mg advil (or the like) for arthritic pain?

Aspirin dosage is about 5 mg's per pound, without knowing your dog's weight I can't tell you how  much to give him. Don't give ibuprofen or anything other than aspirin. Give every four  hours for pain and only give the buffered kind. Also don't do this for a long period of time, your vet can prescribe rimadyl or something similar for pain
