Question
18 mo old chihuahua , chews all his collars, suggestions, Metal collar? (which ?), slip collar ? spiked ?well behaved otherwise

Answer
Frankly, I cannot figure out how a dog can chew on his own collar when he is wearing it???!!!! My puppies wear nylon buckle collars if I need to be able to tell them apart, and my adults might wear something similar or preferably rolled leather collars. Mostly though, my dogs never wear collars at home because of the dangers that collars can cause, such as getting hung up on things or even each other if they play or fight. I do prefer to use nylon training collars when I take a dog away from home so that I can have some correction capability if I need it, but any training collar should *NEVER* be left on an unsupervised dog due to the chance it could choke the dog (they are called choke collars for a reason).
