Question
hey, this is regarding the same question that i've already asked you, 'Kristin! Hi, i have had dogs all my life and presently own an adorable 5yr old male rottie. the problem im facing at the moment is with my neighbours st.bernard! he is quite aggressive towards me as i was away the first year of his life. now each time that i visit my neighbour, he has to be tied up and that is something i hate. initially when i did try to make friends, i asked her to let him lose while i sat quietly in a corner i almost got bitten! To be more precise, he sniffed me for a bit and then suddenly broke into aggression and went for my leg and got hold of my jeans and actually made a hole into it by the time he was pulled off. i still dont fear him as such but want to make friends at any cost. Also for your information, he is a perfectly friendly dog with family and ppl he knows from his early days. Please advise and oblige. regards-Ardesh'....umm...your answer was helpful but the problem really is that he would sort of attack if he was left loose! and i have tried tossing treats at him but he gets back to barking no sooner the treat is over, please do help :) thanks again -ardesh

Answer
Well I think this dog should probably see a trainer right away-as this can become a dangerous situation

I think it might even be good to have one of those trainers that come right to the house,so that the trainer can see what is going on and how to correct it-as this is a problem that a trainer does in fact need to see,so they can correct it

So I would talk to the owners and tell them to get in contact with there vet and ask the vet of numbers for trainers that come to the house-I think that is only way to fix this dog
