introducing a new puppy with Jack Russell Terrier

Question
I have a 5 month old Jack russell terrier, and I will be picking up a 10 week old Cavalier King Charles spaniel tomorrow. My thinking before was that they both are still young, and it may be a little rocky at first, but they should be alright, as long as I watch them closely. But, now I have been doing a little research, and its making me a little nervous because I have been reading the JR's aren't good with other dogs. Do any of you guys and gals have a jack russell along with another breed of dog? Both are males, I did it like that because I didnt want any foolishness going on in the back. The jack russell has his own spot I have sectioned off in the back yard while we are at work, and the plan was to put the cavalier back there with him. There is plenty of room for the both of them. Any ideas on how to properly intergrate them? the JR behaves well when seeing other dogs while on a walk, at the vet, and at the groomers (we sometimes leave him overnight when we go to vegas)

Answer
Well I think because both are young, things should go over well, and I know someone that has a Jack as well as two other dogs and they are all fine

The best way to do things,is to do it slowly, and because both are young the best way to do that is to let them play with each other in the yard-but separate them for a while when you can't watch them-this is good for two reason the first is so they won't fight, but actually in puppies it's also so that they don't just bond to each other it is good for them to be away from each other at times,as only bonding to each other will make them aloof with people and harder to train,it is good for them to be together but also good to be away

And it seems like your jack is already good with other dogs-so I wouldn't worry about anything you have read each dog is different-also getting them fixed when they are old enough will reduce the risk of them fighting
