bed time

Question
Our new puppy likes to be on the bed with us. He'll cry for a long time if we don't let him on. And when we're tired and ready for bed we don't feel like putting him back in his bed every five minutes. How do we make him understand where his special spot is?

Persistence is the key :). You might try crating him. And you can also try giving him a special treat/toy only in his special place Like a kong stuffed with treats to occupy his mind and his mouth. Do remember he is an infant. One who doesn't speak English. Chances are that at this age, he will not stay in his place unless crated. He simply doesn't understand. I know letting him cry is hard, but if you want him off your bed, you're going to have to let him cry it out. He eventually will. :)
