i have a Weimeraner and he is about a year or so old and he has been drooling a lot lately. does he need water or something?

All dogs should have free access to water, particularly on warmer days.

Some individuals, and some breeds, tend to drool more than others. A dog will drool when it drinks, eats, plays, and pants. This is normal.

An overweight dog will drool/pant more than one that is in proper condition. A dog will also drool if it has a bad tooth, or something that is stuck in its mouth. Make sure that your drooling dog doesn't fall into this last category.
