Question
Hello  Nancy
I had to have my 14 year old springer  female put down which was a good dog for all those years.    Because I HAVE HAD DOGS ALL MY LIFE I had to get a nother one.   This time a Brittney  female she is now 3 months.   She bites  hard at times so I SLAPPED HER A FEW TIMES ON THE NOSE   sHE SEEMS TO BE LEARING ABOUT THAT NOW NOT TO BITE.   I ALSO KNEE HER WHEN SHE JUMPS UP saying down..     Because my old dog had weak rear legs it was hard for her to walk she use to poop and pee right on the drive way by the back door.   I am still trying to huse break this one   But she smells where the other dog went   I used bleach on the drive way too.    But she still wants to go there.    How do I TRAIN HER TO GO IN THE GRASS IN THE YARD?   I took some of her stuff back there and showed her where to go.

Answer
Everything you are doing about the housebreaking is good so far.  In addition to that,  Take her out to the spot you want her to go.  If she doesn't go bring her back in and watch her carefully so she has no accidents in the house.    After awhile, take her out again to the spot you want her to go.  Keep doing this until she absolutely has to go.  This may take constant doing on a weekend.  When she finally goes give her alot of praise and a treat.  Also, go to a pet store and get natures miracle enzyme cleaner and put it on the driveway.   If that doesn't work get a product call "go away" or something similar which repels the dog from that spot.
good luck
