scared pitbull

we just got a one year old female pit bull and have no idea whats wrong with her,we've had her for about a little over two weeks and for some odd reason shes scared of everything.she wont eat for us,and is quickly losing wait,she stays in one corner all day,we cant get her to go outside at all,she wont come to any name,and she shivers terribly when you stand up we got her from an old couple who never fooled with her they said,but its been over two weeks,and shes still frightened.can you please tell me whats wrong with her?

This is classic of a dog that has been allowed to do whatever she wants,then in a new situation is totally lost,and it is also a sign of a dog who has never been socialized

Although you have had her for two weeks,I had a dog that it took over 8 months for her to act normally,some dogs take a long time and others don't-more then anything it does take time and patients as it did with my own dog,some dogs have a more nervous temperment so it makes it even worse

What really helped in my case was that i found a really good dog trainer that deals with a lot of these problems,dog obedience classes can often boost a dog's confidence-so you can call different trainers and explain your situation and go with the trainer that is most experienced with these type of problems
