Question

Bruiser Man
My shih tzu is 7 months old today (11/4) When I first got him he was all black with a white triangle.  He is now changing to a reddish brown face and silver on his tail and hind quarters (quite handsome) What age is the norm for a shih tzu to show his adult colors?

Answer
He's a cutie, Linda! Generally, between 10 and 12 months is when they get their full adult coat, but I would be a little concerned if my black dog turned brown like yours has. This can be an indication of a dietary problem. May I ask what food you have him on?
