green puss from wound

i have a rot mixed with chow dog. he recently cut his paw. i took him to the vet and they put three stapes in his paw. i changed the bandage on his leg today and the bandage had greenish yellowish puss on it. my question is if this is bad?

Dear Gilbert,

Thank you for writing to me abuot your Rottie mix.  I would suggest that you take your dog to the emergency room immediately!!!!! Green/yellow pus is most definitely an infection and you must have this attended to before gangrene sets in.  Please follow my recommendation as this can, if left untreated, be fatal.
