my Rott is 7 years old..the past few days it seems as if he is depressed. He is eating and drinking his water. but he is not excited as he usally is. Almost seems to be a bit lathargic. Is it possiable to be depressed or should I get him to the vet imm?

Answer
I'd have him vet checked. Could be something as simple as a touch of arthritis, or as serious as cancer. At this age, with a large breed dog, things begin to show up, much as they do us as we age. It could be something as easy as needing a change of feeding. Get him checked out to be sure
