Which dog is right for me?

Question
I will be moving into a house at the beginning of the year and I would really like to get a Husky but I heard they don't do well in warm weather and I live in Tuscaloosa,AL. A Lab seems good to me too, but I was just wondering if you could just give me an idea. Thanks!

Answer
Huskies can do ok in the heat if they have shade and enough water, and do NOT have them shaved that will only make them hotter, you can howeverr have a groomer remove the under coat which will make it cooler

Labs are great in all kinds of weather, heat or cold doesn't seem to bother them much,so they would be a good choice as well

Another good dog for the heat are greyhounds as they have almost no coat at all, same thing with whippets

Most breeds can deal with the heat, except giant heavy coated breeds like Alaskan Malamutes or Newfoundlands, more dogs have trouble with the cold
