whats wrong with my dog?

okay i got a dog and he has like a little thing on his feet by were his figer are at he has like a little ball but i think its a fungus and i just wanna know if that can be taking care with medicin or i have to take him a vet to see if i have to take him to an operation?

Hi Daisy,

Any time a growth is found, having a veterinarian examine it is a good idea. It's the only way to know what kind of growth it is. Most growths turn out to be benign, and only need to be removed if they are located in an area where they would be irritated. Your dog's foot would be one such area which could cause irritation.

If the growth is still small, it's a lot simpler to remove. It's possible that it could be removed during an office visit, instead of by surgery. So not waiting to get this treated is a really good idea.
