smelliy puppy breath

my dog is 4months old and is sharpei/pitbull/lab/rottie cross. his breath smells tinny or metal smell (always since we got him) and he has the runs for about the last 3 days. could you please let me know why or what I might change to make sure he isnt internally sick. he is still full of energy and playful nothing changed with his behavior. we have him on purina puppy chow. could you maybe recommend a food that is reasonably priced in b.c.thank you for any help you can provide

Hi Kapri,  Has your puppy been wormed?  Puppies get roundworms from their mothers and have to be wormed twice after they have been weaned to get rid of the worms.  This worming sequence should be done two weeks apart so as to kill any larvae that might live through the first worming.  As far as economical dog foods, Purina Puppy Chow is probably the most economical puppy food on the market.
