QuestionMy 8 month old puppy who is 11 lbs was given HYDROXYZINE HCL 10MG for his allergies and it worked. I am not able to get anymore right now due to economic reason but I know I can get Benadryl. But what dose could I give him, 10 MG? And would I give him infant's, children's or adult's benadryl?
Thank you!
AnswerThe dose is up to 2 mg per pound of body weight every 8 hours. You might want to start with 10-15 mg. Choose which ever grade is the easiest to get the correct dose. If I remember, the adult capsules have 25 mg, a little too much for such a small dog.
