Type of mixed recused dog

We rescued a dog, we know it is part Schnauzer but then starts the guessing. You see this dog has a hair collar like a Lion. It doesn't stand up, it lays down. If we did not clip her she would have a "huge" collar of hair. We cut her face as a Schnauzer but nearly shave all the rest of her body hair which is thick and straight. I know she could be possibly one of hundreds of dogs but I thought the collar may give you an idea. She is very territorially and aggressive but at the same time very loving if not threatened. Any ideas?

Sounds like American Eskimo,they have long 'collars' they are also known to be territorial. They have very thick straight hair,if you wish to also send a pic feel free.But from the sounds of it I would guess American Eskimo. Here are some pics of this breed:
