I have two 8 month old Great Dane females

Hi, I have two 8 month old female Great Dane Puppies(lol). I recently found out that the Dog food I was feeding my girls was very unhealthy and decided to switch to Solid Gold Wolfking. My Girls love it and have been eating it now for almost 2 weeks. The only problem is that they have been having loose stools, everyday. I know that it is normal when switching dog foods and they are acting fine and no weight loss or dehydration (I keep a very close eye on them)but I was wondering how long it usually takes for them to get used to the new food and how long I should allow the diarrhea before taking them to the vet? Is there anything that I can use at home that will help with the diarrhea? Also what is a normal weight and height for an 8 month old female great dane. My black is at least 3 inches smaller and 10-15lbs lighter then my fawn. My black is exactly 2 weeks older then my fawn. Thanks for considering my question....... Nicole

Hi Nicole and the Dane Girls!  Solid Gold is a great food but the change over was a shock to the system...
Here is what you can do to help them:

Make sure you add water to the food - always - Let it sit about 15 minutes before you feed them.... ( Bloat prevention)

Add 1 metamucil cookie to each girl's diet daily - The kind that is Apple Flavored / they come in 2 packs in a box of 12.
1 cookie per day will add the fiber and bulk they need .... it will help stop the loose poops and is good for them.  NEVER more than 1 cookie per day / per Dane.
