Question
Hi, i have an overweight golden retriever. Hes 3 years old and weighs 110pounds. He is being fed Lamb and Rice, 2 cups a day. My dad has this thing where he has to  give him a small amount of human food every dinner. My parents say its ok to do that if they cut back on his actual food. I disagree with them considering his bad weight condition and allergies. What would you suggest I do? Our vet told us a while back that he shouldnt be doing any running and such because it will put too much pressure on his joints.

Answer
Hello Pratik,

You are right.  Tell your parents that your dog needs only to eat his food.  Even small amounts of people food can be bad for some dogs.
He needs exercise to help with weight lose and a good food with less calories.  I suggest the food seen here http://www.pipschoice.com this can also stop the allergy problem.
