Answer
Hi,
You ask me about "my diet" and I will answer you as best I can. I home cook for my dogs. I, myself, work with a very, very diet knowledgeable gal who is a master at dog diets. I credit her with saving my one Yorkie's digestive life. Of course, if one is going to homecook, you need to know about supplements, vitamins (not store bought please!!), minerals, and all nutrients. This is where this gal helped me tremendously. Ok, having said that, ASK YOUR VET ABOUT HOME COOKING AND FIND OUT, IF IT'S DONE RIGHT, IF THIS WOULD BE OK FOR YOUR DOG!!! If he/she says it is, then contact me again and I will give you my long term mentor's email address and you can go from there. Right now, all three of my dogs are on steamed ORGANIC chicken, and pureed ORGANIC veggies. It's not cheap to feed this way but is it every healthy!!! Again, your dog with stones needs to be monitored and fed carefully. Even if you start out using the prescrip. food, you cannot keep her on it forever as it is nowhere near complete and def. not healthy long term. Your vet may tell you differently since it is a financial asset to him/her to sell this SD food.

Let me know if you want more info..I will either help you myself or initially put you in touch with my mentor--he charges zero because she adores dogs..her own dogs lived to be 19 y.o. so you know she knows her stuff. Let meknow, Sue
