Loose Stools

Hi Susan..

I have a 10 month old great dane named Meha. Its been about 2 weeks since I've switched her food to Pinnacle Grain Free from IAMS but she is still having at least 1 loose stool (pancake batter)a day. Her other stools are firm. What do you suggest? Would Metamucil Wafer benefit Meha? Thank you for your time..

HI, Sorry but it took me forever to get back to you. Obviously, your GD is not digesting her food properly and loose stools, GENERALLY come from poor digestion and absorption.I hate to see you add yet another quick fix for a few days of firmer stools. I would rather see you change your Dane's diet--EVER SO SLOWLY, OVER A COUPLE OF WEEKS--and start using DDS Plus, a top notch probiotic to stengthen the immune system. YOu also need to start using a digestive enzyme and I can help you more with this if you will write again and are interested. I have a wonderful referral for you also if you are interested. This gal saved my YOrkies digestive life and because she ADORES animals she charges nothing. She IS a CEO in her company and she does sell supplements but she will not push you. I don't know what I would have done without her. All of thne vets were constantly prescribing meds which did not fix Buddy's problem. I would like to see you home cook for your Dane and this woman can spoon feed you. You will never look back. Let me know if you want to write her and I will pave the way. In the meantime, Pinnacle is obviously not agreeing with your Dane and you MUST do something to change things. Have you ever contacted THE GREAT DANE LADY??? That is her name and her Website.
