Yorkie-Poo gets 1st Period

My yorkie-poo just got her period. She will be a year old on Sept 1st and I have no clue what to do. I also have an 8yr old Pitbull. They get along great but I am not sure if it is okay to keep them in the same room together while she is going through her menstrual. Please let me know what I should do and how long this will last. Is it too late to get her fixed/spayed?

It is not to late to get her fixed.  It usually cost a little more to get them fixed when they are in heat but if you are worried about her getting pregnant then you might want to get it done now.  As far as the pit bull, is it a male and if so is he fixed?  If not then you would need to keep them separate until she is no longer in heat.
