Question
I have a 2 month old female whom I crate when I have to
do an errand.  The dog barks and howls for at least 10
minutes and people in the complex have voiced complaints.
Do you have a solution?

Answer
Crate her when you are home.  That way you can scold her.  Also try putting a towel over her crate so she can't see you when you are home.  Give the top of the crate a good tap and say NO when she is out of control.  You may have to even step outside the door to make her think you are leaving.  Dogs have no concept of time.  "Leave" and come back. "Leave" and come back.  When she barks scold her, when you leave and no barking come back in and praise her.

Crate her for her dinner time also.  The more time she can be in it positive the better.

Hope this helps.
