Question
my jack russell is five years old, healthy with no problems she has
never had a litter is she to old?

Answer
Catherine,
what makes you think you should breed this dog? Does she have a championship? Have you shown her at all? Did you have her tested for eyes, hip, leg displacement problems or other ? Are you just interested in doing this because she is your cute baby? Did you buy her from a reputable breeder? If so, does the breeder know of your plan?
There are way too many dogs without homes to be breeding a pet with no qualifications for improving the breed. It is called irresponsible breeding. If you are doing this to make money or for just a puppy you don't have to pay for, think again. The amount of dogs euthanized every day because of irresponsible breeding is staggering.
Please reconsider this idea. Look into Jack Russell Rescue  to see just how many of these dogs already need homes.
