Straight poodle hair

Is there anything I can do that will soften straight poodle  hair or help it curl? I feed a premium dog food, us a supplement "Missing Link" and give vitamins. My dog is a standard 20 months of age. He arrived in poor health. His weight is up but I dont know if there is anything else I could be doing.

It is possible you are doing too well.  Usually if you are feeding a decent chow, any supplements including missing link,may do more harm than good.  

I see very few questions here from people feeding common brands of chow.  I don't know if their dogs don't have problems, or if they don't ask questions here.
