Lab dogs outside

Is it ok to leave a lab dog outside during the winter. He is 5 months old, not neutered and is almost 50lbs.

Answer
I wouldn't.  A 5 month old doesn't have its full adult coat yet.  

I also don't think you should need to.  If you need help with problems from leaving him in the house, let me know.  We have had a series of young Labs in the house most of the time since 1991, and still have a house left.
