Hi Jen,

I'm wondering if it is ok to leave my lab in our open balcony when I leave the house. I live in the Philippines where temperature now is about 27-29 degrees celcius (right now - rainy months) and can go as high as 37 to 39 degrees celcius during summer months.

Would it be ok to leave my lab in the balcony during non-summer months?

What is the heat tolerance of labradors?

Heat wise it's probably OK. But I would worry about leaving a dog on a balcony all day. In the event it saw something and jumped...or perhaps a mean person with a gun shot it or threw rocks at it.... Best place for an unsupervised dog is in the house or in a kennel. Do you have a crate you can put the dog in while in the house?
