Loss of Appetite

My 1 year old Golden has not eaten in about 5 days.  What could be the problem?

Goldens are normally hearty eaters.  If this was a sudden change, it is time to call the vet.  If it is over weight and been a picky eater for a while, give it a little more time and feed it less.  It is normal as a dog nears its adult size to need less food.  Often you need to cut back between 6-12 months.  Here is a link to a great illustrated guide to maintaining proper body condition, ihttp://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx
