Question
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about my recently adopted 8 yr old Golden, Daisy. I started her on the Acidophilis today. I will also order the NuVet tabs that you suggested tomorrow. Do you think I should continue to bath her with the Malaseb shampoo? Or does that dry the skin out too much. I will also order the tea tree spray from NuVet to see if that helps her itching. Her odor is the worst part besides the itching and biting. I just want her to sell good. She has no visible red or irritated areas on her body. Thanks again.
Carole

Answer
Follow up - Let me know how you do with the NuVET and the Acidophalus...?
I love to stay in touch with my questioners....
Hi, Yes, the Acidophalus will help a bunch!  The smell is an over-growth of Yeast Bacteria in her skin, intestines and even blood stream.  This yeast over-growth may be due to Allergies or a POOR immune system.
Glad you are taking my advice!  I have had a 95 % success rate with all of my clients/ (dogs and cats).

Yes, the NuVET wafers will help to re-build the immune system and blast the allergens.
It will also help to break up the over-growth of yeast.
I would stop the Malaseb Shampoo for now - After a few months - you may want to just use it 1 x per month.  The NuVET folks make the Tea Tree Spray but also a nice HOT spot tea tree shampoo.
She can benefit from this even without hot-spots.  TEA tree oil is very healing.
Ask the NuVET gals to send you the spray and the shampoo.
