GSD Itching, Licking, Lameness

Question
I have a 6yr female GSD.  itching, licking paws,smells and is having problems when getting up from laying down-will drag back feet for a couple of times.  I know she is allergic and has moderate dysplasia only in left hip.  She is on wellness fish/potato, derma caps, glucosomine.  Is there some underlying issue that can cause all these symptoms

Hi Robin,  Normally when a dog drags their feet it is an indication of a nerve problem.  You can have the vet do some intial testing on her feet to see what sensations she is actually picking up down there.  She may be cutting something off as she lies down.  Hope this helps,
