Itchy, boxer loosing hair

Hi my 6 month old boxer puppy is loosing her hair, always itching and had bumps all over her. The bumps look almost like acne with a white puss inside. Do you have any idea what this is. We brought her to the vet and they didn't know what it was. We thought it was a allergic reaction to wheat and put her on a hypoallergenic dog food. She is just getting worse! Help!

Did the vet do a skin scraping?  At this age the first thought would be demodectic mange with a secondary skin infection, which a scraping should confirm or rule out.  It could also be something like folliculitis, impetigo, staph infection, etc. - without more information it's hard to say for sure.  I'd recommend a second opinion, perhaps from a dermatological vet.  This site outlines various skin conditions in dogs, symptoms, treatment, etc.:
