Our Big Boy General Hi Jennifer,

Here's a picture of our General. This was taken last June. He's 22 months old now and I was wondering what type of coat it's called. It's like tiger stripes. I remember seeing something about a type of brindle, but can't recall. I could be wrong also. Thank you so much for your time and efforts.

Hi Nancy,

General is a brindle. Technically, a brindle is a brindle is a brindle ;) - there are no "official" definitions for the varying degrees of striping. For descriptive purposes, I would call him a "light brindle", or some might say a "golden brindle" based on his ground color, but genetically it's just brindle.
