Question
I am curious to know if having a c-section is common in boxers. We adopted a brindle boxer and she has had puppies before judging from her breasts. I am trying to find out if we let her have a litter before getting her fixed what chances are that she might need a c-section.

Answer
There is absolutely no way of knowing that unless you have her history from previous litters. How many did she have? Were they all born natural, etc...

No one can predict that.

Take her to your vet, have him examine her, at a certain stage of pregnancy, he can x-ray her and tell you how many puppies she is carrying, size and age of pups, etc., and see if she looks like she can deliver normally.

You should educate yourself on the care of pregnancy, building a whelping box, whelping (birth of puppies) things to watch for and when to call a vet, care of mom after giving birth, care of newborn puppies which is critical if you want them to live because they cannot regulate their own body heat, etc..............

Soooooooo many things!
