My 7 wk old babies act too wild!!

Question
I have 5 kittens between 7-8 weeks of age. They have been around me, my daughter, 2 dogs, 2 parrots and 2 other cats (not including mama) since they were born. They are constantly being messed with by a human or other animal. These little turds are not afraid of anything and wrestle hard with the dogs and other cats. Problem is you can't hold or pet them. They will wrestle, bite and scratch your hand. Not gentle babies at all. They want to get away and just play. I understand they are kittens, but I don't remember kittens being so stand offish with humans when they have been around them their whole lives. I'm starting to think it was a bad idea to have them around so many different animals. I thought it would make for some well rounded babies, but I think it just made them mean! I want to find them homes but who wants a kitten that had zero interest in you petting, or god forbid, cuddle them? They have no use for it! Help me help them so people will love these ornery little things!

Answer
Wendi,

Was their mother a wild or feral cat? Some cats are just like that. I have a litter a year old and they also do not like to be restrained. They like to be petted but not held.
And 2 also squirm to get down to play. That is their basic personality.

Just ignore them and when they want attention they will come to you. Spend a lot of time with interactive play like pet laser lights or pulling shoestrings for them to chase.
That makes them more confident with humans. It was good that they've been around animals That didn't make them like they are.

Some kittens will change and mellow out when they get older, but as kittens and young adults, they stay holy terrors. But that also means they are happy and healthy.
