One more thing about my wild acting 7-8 week kittens

Question
I did take them outside for the first time last week. When we got out they were scared of course, but they clung to me instead of hanging with mama. They were crying and climbing my legs! Was the first time I've seen them actually want to be with a human. They relaxed after a while and started playing but would come climb my leg and "yell" at me occasionally. What's that about? Do they look to me for protection? Until that day I didn't think they knew I existed, only to feed them. Made me kinda sad thinking they will miss me. Help?

Answer
Wendi,

They probably were scared of the 'big' world when they were used to a smaller area. They connected you with the safety of the small area and came to you. When they came back to you and climbed your leg, they were probably just playing.

When I let mine out the first few times I leave the door cracked open so they can run back in when something 'scary' is out there and they can go out for longer periods as their confidence builds and they know where everything is.

Don't feel sad, cats live by routine, habit, and smells. That is what they will miss.
