Please help! My cats are driving me crazy!

I have two cats. I don't know why but when we go to bed the cats seem to want to make noise by meowing and jumping around the bedroom furniture. I can get them to quiet down sometimes but other times I have to take them out of the bedroom and shut the door.  It's like they don't want us to go to bed. And also they wake us up around 4:30 am give or take a half an hour and make noise by meowing and jump around our table lamps and make noise. What is going on with that? They both do it. It's not just one cat who is doing it on its own. They disrupt our sleep time as a group!

Cats are nocturnal so this is pretty normal behavior and there isn't a whole lot you can do about it.  I suggest you do shut them out of the bedroom at night and if they continue to wake you up at 4am it may be necessary to give them their own space away from your bedroom as well.  This 'time out' usually takes a month or so to solve the problem.
