dead presents

Question
Our cat leaves dead rodents on the steps leading to the house. my mother is deathly afraid of dead rodents and we need a way to get the cat to stop bringing them.

Dear Katie,

Keep the cat indoors where it belongs and that will never happen again.  Outside cats are exposed to all kinds of dangers such as, disease, other animals, mean kids and adults, killer diseases (even if they walk where another sick cat has gone potty, they can catch it), cars, things you would never think of could put their lives in danger.  Killing and eating rodents can give cats worms and diseases of the worst kinds.  Otherwise, there is no way to stop the cat from doing what comes naturally.  Please consider making your cat an indoor only cat, and keeping it safe and healthy.  You will be doing it and you a great favor.
