Toby

Question
My Toby is 8 years old, male.  I believe he was rescued from the streets.  He can be very aggressive and gets agitated easily.  At times, if I say "no" to him about something I don't want him to do or tell him to "get off of the furniture" he will meow or at times strike out at me in defiance.  I have just acquired a kitten, about 7 months old.  He course is the domineering one and is nasty to the kitten.  Is there something I can do to perhaps make him feel more secure with me and the kitten.......

As always, cats take time and patience to get used to each other.  Just give Toby extra love and attention and in time he will accept the little one.  It might take him some time, but he will eventually come around.  Most cats, even the most independent ones cannot resist kittens for long.
