How many cats are too many?

16:36:22

Question
I have 11 cats that range in age from 5 years to 5 weeks :) I am now at my personal limit for finance and socialization and wouldn't add another if I wanted too :) All of them are spayed and neutered. are on premeum cat food and have toys and treats and get brushed weekly. They are all petted and loved and they are all unique. They are all indoor cats and I love each one as if it were my child. They recieve medical attention when needed though I feel that indoor only cats do not need shots and therefore they are not vaccinated. All of my cats get along great and play together very nicely. How many cats do u feel are too many when they are properly cared for and socialized?

Answer
Hi Laura,

How many cats are too many will depend on how much space they've got to roam about and how much time you've got. Even though your 11 cats are all indoor, I would suggest that you still bring them to a vet on a yearly basis for a medical check-up and vaccinate them. Reason being that they are all put together and vaccination will be able to protect them from contacting FIV and other common cat diseases. They should also be dewormed on a yearly basis.
