Question
HI...
i found a tuna can we had....and we are not going to use it...our family member has a cat should we feed it to the cat or do u think the cat would get sick..? Here is what the label says...
-White premium chunk chicken breast in water.
98% fat free 10g protein per serving.

thanks

Answer
Hi Katelyn,

Tuna could have trace amounts of mercury and my veterinarian advises against feeding tuna of any kind to cats.  It probably won't hurt the cat, but there is always a chance, so if it were up to me, I would just throw the can away unopened.    Cats are healthier if you stick to cat food and never feed them people food. Write again if I can be of further help.

Hugs,

Barb
