When should I expect my female kitten (now 5 months old) to go into her first heat?

Yes, some queens will season as young as 5 months.  However, some will wait for 2 years.  Of course, they can have their first season any time in between!!!!!

If you are having her spayed, it is better to do it before the first heat.  Research shows that spaying as young as 12 weeks of age is safe.  So, if she is 5 months, now is a good time to have her spayed.
