hairball- coughing

my cat has a hairball i think. she is coughing and breathing fast sometimes. but then she goes on normal. she hasn't meowed in 3 days. can you help me?

Sorry to be late getting back to you.

Hairball coughing should not go on for more than a day.  If she is still coughing, you may want to see your vet.

The commercial hairball remedies are pretty good.  I am assuming you tried one of these?
