Twitching Back

Question
Hi,
I have two kittens that I am raising - have been since they were two weeks old.  The question I have is that one of them has a twitching back.  Is there something I can do to relieve him of this?  Should I be worried?  I have two other male cats that are full grown and both of the occasionally have this same thing but they are healthy cats.
Also, I have been bottle feeding them and am now weaning them.  I have been giving them baby food and they do eat some dry food.  Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you so very much for your time.

Answer
Hi Kathy.  Sorry for the lateness, I've had bronchitis.  As for the twitching back, I wouldn't worry about it.  SOmetimes when a cat gets a good scratch, their hackles stand up, then they relax.  That's all it probably is.  If it's worrying you, head to the vet for sure.

Now, for the food.  When you say baby food, do you mean baby people food or baby kitten food?  If you're feeding them baby people food, please stop!  It can seriously damage their digestive tracts.  There are certain ingredients that are in many baby foods that can kill animals, and you don't want to do that.  A good quality canned kitten food and a coresponding kitten dry kibble will be just fine for them.  I'd recommend either Nutro or Iams kitten food for both wet and dry.

Good luck!
