Question
Milo my cat is about a year old he is not fixed, he is half Egyptian and half tabby.  about 2 days ago he began drooling profusely.  there is a steady stream of drool dripping from his mouth.  he does not seem to be in any pain and his mood has not changed at all.  i cannot figure out what is causing this over salivation.  i have some plants on my balcony that i think he's been nibbling on could this be whats causing him to leak drool constantly?

Answer
Do not let him chew on any plants that you may have on your balcony. Many potted plants are poisonous to cats and might be irritating his mouth or throat.

Make sure he stays in the house and drinks plenty of water, and as long as he is staying hydrated, you shouldn't worry too much. If he is still drooling profusely after about two days of abstaining from his plant chewing activities, take him to the vet for a wellness check. It shouldn't cost more than $30 to $40 and will give you either a quick solution or some peace of mind.

Hope this helps you!
