Siamese and maine coon

A friend of mine has a siamese female which is adult and ready to mate and a male maine coon. I wanted to ask that is it possible and a ok to cross the two breeds and would the siamese female be able to handle the litter from this mating.

Yes, they can be bred together, BUT Maine Coons tend to be rather large and Siamese tend to be rather small, so it could cause birthing problems for the female Siamese!

Besides, what is the objective of breeding these two together?  What is your friend trying to achieve?

Personally, I would not do it!
