19 1/2 cat howling for no reason

can you tell me why out 19 1/2 cat has started howling mostly at night at the top of our stairs for no reason. just started a few weeks ago and getting worse. she only eats tuna b/c of teeth. she is fixed and has been for years.

When older cats start crying like that it's time to get them to the vet to be checked out. They are usually telling you something is up with them. They could be going blind, deaf, or have an unspecified ailment. Your vet will be able to figure out what the problem is. Good luck.
