Cat caryying clothing around

My female 12 year old cat has just starting howling at 10pm at night and running down the steps with different articles of clothing-what is this all about?

Hi Mary,

Get her to a vet to be checked out. Not for the carrying clothing but for her howling. She may be in pain. Or the other thing that may be going on is she is regressing a little. I have one cat here who picks up the dog's toys and meows loudly with them in her mouth. It's like she is bragging about her "kill". Let the vet rule out anything wrong with her. If nothing is wrong then it most likely the other. Good luck.
