In my experience a cat will generally produce kittens about an hour after labor begins and then every 15-20 minutes thereafter until she is done. If she seems restless or anxious and has not produced a kitten in an hour or more she will likely need a c-section to have her babies so that she will be healthy and produce a healthy family.
