spraddle leg kitten

Question
I have a kitten that is about three weeks old, and I have noticed that's its back legs are spraddled out. She uses her back legs to push herself around the floor but I am worried that she may be like this for life! Is there anything I can do to help get them straight or will she grow out of it? I really haven't got the money to take her to a specialist but I don't want her to be disabled all her life!!  What should I do???

Answer
Jennifer,

Usually kittens outgrow this sort of thing.  However, to help your kitten out, it should be walking on old toweling which will make it push harder to get somewhere and exercise those hind legs.  Also, you can pick the kitten up, place the hind feet on the palm of one hand and push them up and let them down to help exercise those legs further.

Best regards... Norm.
