Question
QUESTION: Im thinking about getting a calico cat how are they?and Main coons? I heard calicos are weird

ANSWER: Lissette,

Calico is a color and pattern and occurs in many breeds.  It is described as a cat with black and red patches on a field of white.  There is a myth that tortoiseshells and calicos as a color and pattern have a bit more attitude than most other colors and patterns.

What most people call calicos are domestic shorthairs or domestic semi-longhairs with the calico coloring and pattern.

Maine coons also come in calico.  Maine Coons are the largest breed of domestic cat with a heavy shaggy coat.  By shaggy we mean short on the shoulders and getting longer as it goes down towards the belly and back along the cat. Their temperament is normally very gentle. They tend to be more sedate and make good lap cats.

Please let me know if you need any more detail on the above.

QUESTION: What would happen if my cat catches a mouse? There's one living here in the walls. If she does catch it, should I bring her to the vet as a precaution?

Answer
Lissette,

Most cats, these days, play with the mouse until it is dead and usually do not eat it. I am not sure what she could catch from the mouse that would require a vet visit. Unless she shows signs of any problems, I would not worry too much about it.
