Question
I have a cat that got out right before her appointment and now I have 6 kittens, love  them all. My question is one kitten still has a small cord attached, I have tried to wipe with a warm wash cloth like suggested but that did nothing. My mama cat is really great even from the start. The kittens are now 23 days old, the cord area is not infected looking but slightly pink. Help me please I am not sure what to do.

Answer
Hi Mad,

Cords usually will shrivel up and drop off after a few days. If you tried the warm wash cloth tip then I would suggest a trip to the vet next. He will remove it. This is your best bet. He will also examine the kit to make sure there is no infection in the area. Or hernia.  Good luck and take care.
